THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN GROWING OUR NURSERY!

Our Kiva campaign has been fully funded thanks to all of your support and lending contributions! We extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you who contributed to our Kiva campaign to help establish our nursery. Your generosity and belief in our mission have left us truly humbled and inspired. We plan to hit the ground running to get our nursery ready for visitors and will post updates periodically to keep you all in the loop!

We recognize the immense potential to expand our services, not only for ourselves but also in collaboration with other landscape companies. Our vision is to provide easy access to a wider variety of native plants, promoting sustainability and biodiversity in our local landscapes. To learn more about our owners, Nick and Tommy, check out our recent post on how Wacca Pilatka began.

About a year ago, we took a significant leap toward our goal by purchasing a commercial property in Jacksonville. While the location is ideal, transforming it into a functional landscape nursery and business space requires substantial effort and investment.

We've already undertaken significant groundwork, including site grading, electrical upgrades, and structural renovations. However, there is much more to be done. This loan will enable us to complete the following critical steps:

  • Set up our well and irrigation system;

  • Construct grow pads for plant production;

  • Renovate the existing building to create a usable office workspace and retail center.

Completing these steps will enable us to establish a small nursery of native plants and open our space to both retail customers and other landscape companies. With this loan, we plan to improve the supply of native plants and make Florida-friendly landscapes possible for many more people in our community.

Specifically, these Kiva loan funds will go toward the following:

- Office construction (40% of loan funds)

- Electricity (20% of loan funds)

- Grow pad and Irrigation (40% of loan funds)

As we continue on this journey, we invite you to stay connected with us on Instagram for updates on our progress. Together, we are sowing the seeds of a greener, more vibrant future for generations to come.
