This project received a major make-over from the ground up. It had started as a nearly blank slate, lacking any significant vegetation, turf or functional areas for the homeowners to utilize. Our approach for this was simple- use low maintenance plantings, incorporate native plants and provide a tropical aesthetic to match the coastal location of the property. In the front yard we removed all of the grass, installed a mix of Florida friendly plantings and added a drip irrigation system to save on water. The plant selections here consist of low maintenance plants that look great all-year round and provide a coastal inspired look.

The backyard posed a greater challenge. There were some invasive plants that needed removing, an outdated paver patio and a lawn that was not doing well. We removed everything here and started new; adding a new patio, a mixed hedge along the fence and low maintenance bermuda grass for their dog to play.
